Marjorie Reynolds

There are special people who touch your life in magical ways. For me, Mrs Reynolds was one of them. She was such a constant for me as I entered my teens especially - so kindly having me work in her Florist after school and always encouraging me. I still have a beautiful ballet book she once gave me where she wrote such words of encouragement inside the cover. My time working in her florest wasn't just a job. It was like walking in to a beautifully fragranced space of love and serenity. Mrs Reynolds not only took the time to teach me how to serve, create and keep things organised; she also shared in stories and offered words of wisdom as I shared what was happening in my little world too. For a teenager especially this support was a real gift and I always looked forward to walking in the door. At ballet she'd help choose the right ballet shoes and leotards. Sometimes offering tips on colours that would best suit. It's these little things that actually are the big things in life. Kindness, care, attention to detail and an ability to somehow step in when needed but also watch on and smile from behind the scenes too. Humble and kind, intelligent and talented - Mrs Reynolds was inspiring. I will always keep a place for her in my heart. When I read my ballet book it takes me back to such happy times. To Jillanne and your beautiful daughters, I want to offer my deepest condolences and to let you know that I'm thinking of you. Love you. Jennelle Jeffery. Xo
