To my dear friend and former work colleague Matt(Spider). One of my very close true friends taken way to early. The most genuine, caring, loyal and loving friend with a heart of gold. Bright and articulate who would do anything for anyone, Matthew often spoke of his love for his loving wife and two beautiful kids. And the most wicked sense of humour you could imagine. RIP Spider love you my dear friend. “Stay beautiful.”

Matthew and the whole DaSilveira family was such a big part of my childhood and my school memories. I remember he always had a big grin! This is such a great loss. My sincerest condolences to all of the DaSilveira family.

I came to Australia and I was blessed to be employed at Foodchain by David Jones. It was way back when in the year 2000. Matt you random messaged on work anniversary and changed to
Employment and birthdays. You always had me in hysterics or perplexed, your messages were always out their and made me laugh. You had such a big and kind heart, humble and never really understood your own impact. A beautiful human, and respected and loved by all people you came in contact with. Gone to soon. To Melissa ond the Kids, I can’t even begin to think of the emotions that a loss like this would bring to a family. My heart is with you all.

My heart is filled with sadness to hear of the news of the passing of Matthew. He was such a lovely guy with a quick wit and genuine care for people and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. A life taken from us all way to soon. RIP Matty! May your days be filled with happiness and lots of laughs just in the way you gave this joys to us!

My condolences to you and your family Melissa. He was such a joy to work with and to have the most amazing conversations. Sometimes it was like translating another language.
One thing that always came though strongly was his love for you and the kids.

Matty , I just remember the cheeky little 7 year old , always smiling, always had something to add to the conversation and the biggest memory , hard drive of any other human I’ve met. Even recently when I needed some help on a project , you had memory of everything and everyone. You were a big part of my childhood at Ormond Primary and many others. RIP mate.
