John Alexander Clery

I remember John's (Mr. Clery's!) quick wit, huge grin and cheeky chuckle. He always welcomed me warmly at Bond Avenue- my second home- for many years. He was generous and funny and we shared a lot of big laughs. He loved his Wil and his kids, Debbie, Ronnie and Lindy ( Lindy Lou/Lou) and Belinda and he shared their love of playing the piano and of aviary birds; like the rainbow lorikeets, Bonnie and Clyde. There were many trips to the ' bird seed place' on weekends! Even more fun was the Mcilraith Christmas party - and I loved being included as 'part of the family'. Mum and Dad (Graeme and Kath Cadman) were also good friends with Wilma and John. Dad did the accounts for John's Dahlia Club - a good excuse for their get togethers until recent years. We will miss John' s huge laugh and big heart and, of course, his sparkling eyes. As Mum says, ' He was always the most handsome of men'. Rest in Peace, John. Our deepest condolences to the extended Clery and McNeill families.
