Andrew Geoffrey Allan 9 October, 1962 – 19 May, 2025

I'm deeply saddened to learn that Andrew is no longer with us. When he didn’t respond to my messages, I eventually came across this page. I met Andrew six years ago on a remote river in the New Zealand wilderness. We shared our plans with enthusiasm and managed to find compromises that ensured neither of our trips was disrupted. We also agreed to exchange trip reports via email once we returned. From there, we kept in touch through emails and WhatsApp—sharing stories, hobbies, and updates from our lives. At times, I was chatting with Andrew more than with my own family. I really valued our connection and learned so much from him. We had hoped to meet up again one day, but sadly never got the chance. To Andrew’s family and to Garry, his friend—my heartfelt condolences. He was a truly special person, and I’ll miss him deeply.

I am shocked to hear this news. He was a wonderful Dr and I was always so grateful for his support of my late husband and myself. Condolences to Cate, Lily and the entire Allan family Julie Wurf

It was with disbelief and grief that our family learnt of the passing of Andrew. We are a family that has been seeing Andrew since he first set up his practice in Rockley Rd. Our two sons, now adults, had each seen Andrew only recently. Andrew was not only a great doctor with knowledge and skill, but his communication, humanity, warmth, humour, and ease of dealing with people set him apart. To his family our deepest and sincerest condolences and expressions of love. Andrew has left a brigt light on all of us, enriched all, someone never to be forgotten. Andrew will be with us forever.
