It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Uncle Arthur. I have strong childhood memories of him as a fun Uncle -one of the three wonderful uncles who delighted our childish lives during the holidays I spent in my younger years at Timberlea. The other two being Uncle Henry and Uncle Stan of course. He had a rather dramatic attention grabber of an act that sent chills down our spines with horrible anticipation. All the cousins will remember this: He would, with all the flare of a showman, hold a large tin of fruit straight up in the air over his head, pausing for dramatic effect, and Grandma would be saying "no Arthur, no"! I have a wonderful memory of his determination and the twinkle in his eye as he persisted with the terrible demonstration. Suddenly he would smash it down on his outstretched middle finger on the edge of the dining table very rapidly and grinning, would show us the dent in the fruit tin. No harm done to his finger! a few adventurous cousins tried that out later without having paid due attention to the words of warning which accompanied the act! Please accept our condolences all of you, Peter, John, Steven and Suzanne and to your extended families and especially to Estelle. A great character, a great loss! Our thoughts are with you, even though we are unable to be there with you in person. Jennifer and George Graham and family

This came as a shock to me to hear about Arthur’s passing. I am in disbelief and awe .We have lost a wonderful loving, caring, genuine compassionate human being. The flow of humanity in him is a much more fitting tribute to Arthur. I still remember his wonderful smile, ever so happy. My deepest condolences to Estelle and the whole family. Sorry for your loss. But remember that “God didn’t promise days without pain, but He did promise to light the way. He also promised that He will comfort and give us strength in our moments of deepest need and that one day our tears will turn to laughter” I wish l had gotten this massage earlier to watch the virtual ceremony, but time difference is a factor in this. Remember the power of love lives on beyond the people who have shared its joy! Love you all very much 🙏🏾🙏🏾 💕 Rose Banda
