The cockatoo has a very unique and special connection to the memory of our father/grandfather at the time of his passing. The cockatoo is seen as a symbol of spiritual enlightenment, wisdom and guidance. The playful nature of the cockatoo is also associated with joy, happiness and celebration. These descriptions are all very fitting of our dad/grandfather whom we miss dearly but his memory lives on in our hearts and every time we see a cockatoo perched on a tree just looking down on us making sure we are all okay.
