David John Tadgell 6 March, 1963 – 3 March, 2025

TO MEMORY TIMELINE
David was one of my best friends in grade 6 at Lloyd St primary. We were part of a "secret club". On Saturday afternoons we rode our bikes down back lanes, under the railway line , along Gardiners Creek, shared fish and chips at Central Park, and hot pies with sauce at East Malvern footy club. I also remember bouncing on the trampoline in Tadg's back yard. I sat next to Tadg in grade 6 - we had paired desks. This photo is of us the day before we were to separate for ever - to Year 7 at different schools - never again the same. Jon Bartley, David Withers, David Tadgell (probably early Feb 1975). We had fun, and I always remember David as being kind and a great friend.

Dear Lisa, Ben, Jamie, Lachie and Billy, I am so sorry to hear of David’s passing, your lovely husband and dad. Thinking of you all and sending so much love. Em
Tadge & I sat our patent attorney exams together, concocted the Royal Cup inter firm sporting competition together one late night at IPSANZ (which effectively ended when we both injured ourselves on the football field), found ourselves together at many an IPTA function, and our sons went to Scotch together. I will miss him greatly. A wonderful man and it is true only the good die young. Much love to Lisa, Ben, Jamie, Lachie and Billy. He will be forever in our hearts
I will always remember my time working for David as the happiest job I have had. It was an absolute joy to work for him. My deepest sympathy to Lisa, Ben, Jamie, Lachie and Billy for the loss of a beautiful husband and father. He loved his family so much.
Our deepest sympathies to Lisa, Ben, Jamie, Lachie and Billy our thoughts are with you. We have so many memories of David through so many shared experiences built from the friendships formed at Camberwell Primary. You will be missed David.
My deepest condolences to Davids family. It bought tears to my eye to hear, of all places, by a google search today of Davids passing. I have not seen Dav for 45 years, my fault not his, for not reaching out. We were though best friends at Wesley when I started in year 9-11 before travelling OS to pursue a tennis career. We never saw each outside of Wesley living on different sides of Melbourne but we were inseparable during school hours. I never saw him again after leaving. I can say in all honesty though that he was one of the nicest, most genuine people i have ever met in in my life and it is my regret for not following up on numerous occasions to reach out to catch up. You must be so proud of him and all that he achieved none of which surprises me as he was a natural leader, affable and very intelligent (i think he use to get sick of me looking over his shoulder for help asking to explain school work). As a person who has also had cancer i have much empathy for you and the family. We would do anything for you guys. It saddens me immensely to hear of his passing and although a stranger I knew Tag well. I will have to live with the guilt of never having the chance to reconnect with such a humble guy. Rest in peace. Horskins family.
