My everlasting memory of Geoffrey will be: Driving to an obscure office in Mordialloc to get me Kakadu plum products Then hoping to identify me at the station expecting to see me in a sunflower hat, Driving me back home through closed roads after a lovely dinner with you two Going back to get me a video of Bolti bridge, And lastly the lovely text to say we'd meet again in Mumbai soon. Geoff and I were friends since we were in boarding school at St. Joseph’s boys high school, Bangalore at the tender age of nine. We graduated together in 1972 and remained close friends ever since. It was always so wonderful to meet Geoff in Melbourne, even though I missed him on many an occasion because of him being out at sea. Regardless of the years that passed between our meetings, we always magically seem to pick up where we left off as though we were still in high school. Geoff was a loyal friend, with an exceptional sense of humor and overall a most decent human being. His love and devotion to Karen and Jordon cannot be matched. I know how hard it was for him to leave his family for such extended times. We will always remember our friend and classmate with utmost affection. It is so appropriate that he joins his brother, Barry, and his dad, who was his idol and passed away exactly 52 years to the day that Geoff left us. It was a shock hearing Geoff was in hospital and then the next news was of sadness on hearing his passing. I remember the time when we first came to Melbourne, Geoff taking the trouble to drive me around to look for rental accommodation or any help I needed. Geoff and I were friends since we were in boarding school at St. Joseph’s boys high school, Bangalore at the tender age of nine. We graduated together in 1972 and remained close friends ever since. It was always so wonderful to meet Geoff in Melbourne, even though I missed him on many an occasion because of him being out at sea. Regardless of the years that passed between our meetings, we always magically seem to pick up where we left off as though we were still in high school. Geoff was a loyal friend, with an exceptional sense of humor and overall a most decent human being. His love and devotion to Karen and Jordon cannot be matched. I know how hard it was for him to leave his family for such extended times. We will always remember our friend and classmate with utmost affection. It is so appropriate that he joins his brother, Barry, and his dad, who was his idol and passed away exactly 52 years to the day that Geoff left us.
