Today was 5 years to the day when we first met. It was a Saturday night and we were still under COVID restrictions. You drove further than the 25km limit to meet me and we had coffee in Altona down by the beach. 2 years later in almost that exact spot, you proposed. We packed so much into what little amount of time we had together and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I’ll miss you everyday, you were my best friend and it won’t be the same without you. Some are born into a family, some achieve a family, and some have family thrust upon them. We were the last of the three — and how lucky we were. We made wonderful memories filled with laughter and tears — family holidays, Christmases, birthdays, and weddings. They will never be the same without you. We hold wonderful memories of the Mac-Ridleys being together when we were younger, and then we grew up to achieve our own families. I’m lucky to have been a part of your life and wish you’d stayed part of ours for just a little longer. Rest peacefully, Ro — I hope you know you were loved and that you will be greatly missed.
