It's taken me until now Dave to write on your memorial page. I still can't believe you're gone.
You are still supposed to be on the other end of that video chat with your big hairy face and your cheeky smile. We were very lucky , little brother, to have grown up when we did. We did some pretty stupid things like getting in a trolley with no brakes at the top of a long steep hill and then having to stagger a kilometer home after the crash just to use a couple of boxes of plasters and go out again. I found pictures of you from when you were a baby to when you went to your happy place in Australia. We had so much fun before all the safety laws came in. Our Fireworks weekend was always fun. Just being allowed to run around with small explosives, blowing up whatever we thought would look cool.
You looked after me bro wherever we went so I always felt safe and included in everything. No party was a party without you. You were the reason people turned up. You were such a massive person and I don't mean your physical size. Your personality was so free. You loved your freedom to do what you wanted when you wanted and nothing held you back. I am so so proud of the man you grew into and I will try to make you proud as well. Your family is absolutely beautiful and now we have a connection that is forever and I thank you so much for that. I have never felt sadness like this before Dave. Losing Mum & Dad was and still is pretty tough but losing you is not right. There has been a definite glitch in the matrix somewhere. You're not supposed to be gone. I have Rachel and the kids on the other end of the phone now. You're still here though because I can feel you in every waking moment.
Thank You Dave for being my Little Brother. You were and still are a bloody legend. Your passing has made our world a lot sadder place for countless people. I miss you so much. We didn't speak that often but we didn't need to. We always had our bro to talk about with friends, when asked.
The last day we spent together was a gift from you. I know that from what I was told by your beautiful wife Rachel. You went through pain so you could see Me and Lyn. You were so brave. I'll treasure that gift for the rest of my life and I know Lyn will as well. I could feel so much love in that hospital room.
Rest in Peace Little Brother and May the Force be with you. Oh and don't hesitate to come and say gidday.

Dave, your light will always shine bright through Latisha, Brody, Lani, Ray and your grand-cherubs. You were an incredible Dad and helped shape the lives of 3 amazing young people, you will live on through them and Ray everyday. The love you all have for one another will last for eternity.
Ray my heart aches for you and your family, may the memories you all have bring you comfort as you begin the journey without the love of your life beside you. I bet he will be looking down on you always and sending you strength and helping you see the joy that still surrounds you.
Sending all my love your way, Ainsley xxx
