Wes Horskins

My deepest condolences to Davids family. It bought tears to my eye to hear, of all places, by a google search today of Davids passing. I have not seen Dav for 45 years, my fault not his, for not reaching out. We were though best friends at Wesley when I started in year 9-11 before travelling OS to pursue a tennis career. We never saw each outside of Wesley living on different sides of Melbourne but we were inseparable during school hours. I never saw him again after leaving. I can say in all honesty though that he was one of the nicest, most genuine people i have ever met in in my life and it is my regret for not following up on numerous occasions to reach out to catch up. You must be so proud of him and all that he achieved none of which surprises me as he was a natural leader, affable and very intelligent (i think he use to get sick of me looking over his shoulder for help asking to explain school work). As a person who has also had cancer i have much empathy for you and the family. We would do anything for you guys. It saddens me immensely to hear of his passing and although a stranger I knew Tag well. I will have to live with the guilt of never having the chance to reconnect with such a humble guy. Rest in peace. Horskins family.
