  Steven and I first met on the British Airways flight leaving for Toronto on January 16, 1980. We studied together through High School and our undergraduate years in Computer Science through to 1984. The most important time together was the time spent in serving Jesus together. Thank you Steven for those memories that have stayed permanently etched in my life. It means you have been a huge blessing for me and the many many others that you have never seen.   Our time with you was so brief, just a few weeks. We don’t have a lifetime of stories to share. But the time we spent together was profoundly joyful and significant. We cherish the memories and connection we did make in our recent holidays in China. Your cheerfulness and kindness will always remain with us. We share with your family and lifelong friends the immeasurable pain and loss. We thank you for the time you gave us, your warmth, laughter and friendship. You will be deeply missed.
